POTENTIAL BENEFITS FROM SPECIFIC IMPROVEMENTS

For decades Alhambra residents have dealt with additional traffic on our local roads as drivers trying to bypass freeway backup and other congestion cut through our streets. This makes local trips more difficult, resident commutes longer, restricts mobility for non-motorized users, and increases the cost of road upkeep by overly taxing our streets.

With improvements conducted as a result of Advancing Alhambra, there is the potential to:

  • Cut down on cut-through traffic
  • Keep commuters on local freeways and off our neighborhood streets
  • Make improvements that decrease commute times regionally
  • Change the freeway experience by reducing congestion and bottlenecking.
  • Promote other modes of transportation, including biking and walking.
